When someone in our community has a mental illness it can have far-reaching effects in their life.
That’s why Aspire Indiana not only offers mental health services, we also find meaningful employment or affordable housing for those in need. We have an HIV/AIDS Care program and services for the Deaf Community. In Aspire’s group and respite homes, our care-givers help with daily tasks and medications.
At Aspire, we help our community.
Effective January 1, 2012 Aspire Indiana will be a Tobacco-Free Environment. If you need help quitting, contact your Aspire treatment provider.

Welcome to Aspire Indiana
My name is Charleen Sculley. I have a Master’s degree in Social Work from Gallaudet University and I am the Director of Deaf Services here at Aspire Indiana. Aspire is one of 25 community mental health centers in the state of Indiana. We provide a full continuum of mental health and addictions services.
We serve all socioeconomic groups, from working professionals to the underemployed and unemployed. We do not discriminate or exclude anyone due to race, gender, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, or disability.
Typical reasons people seek services include substance abuse issues, and mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, addictions, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and ADHD.
We also serve individuals and families who are experiencing loss/bereavement, parenting concerns, familial problems, etc. We know that members of the deaf community may feel uncomfortable seeking services.
Mental illness still carries a huge stigma within the deaf community. We believe that most people still feel ashamed about problems they are experiencing with themselves, or with their families.
We know that it takes a strong person to ignore this stigma and seek assistance. Asking for help is the first step.
Once they seek our help, most people soon discover their own personal and familial strengths, and find the solutions they are seeking.
If you or someone you know is considering behavioral health services or if you’d like to know more about Deaf Services, we invite you to contact us by clicking on the link “Deaf Services“ on the navbar to your right.
