Indiana Works

Work Incentives Planning and Assistance (Indiana Works) Program & Contact Information

Our mission is to provide informed choices to individuals with disabilities who receive a Social Security Disability benefit about the effect of employment on their benefits; not only Federal benefits but State and Local benefits as well such as Medicaid, Food Stamps, and Housing. Our services are free to Hoosiers between the ages of 14 to full age retirement who are currently receiving Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) or Supplemental Security Income (SSI).

Work Incentives Planning & Assistance (WIPA) is a program funded through a grant by the Social Security Administration. We have four Community Work Incentives Coordinators (CWICs) that serve Northern and Central Indiana.

Do you have questions about how wages from a job will affect your benefits? Are you concerned about losing your healthcare when you go to work? Call 1-866-646-8161 to find out how you can speak with a Community Work Incentive Coordinator to get answers to your questions. We are here to help and our services are free!
