Aspire's History

Aspire Indiana is the result of a merger between two mental health centers – The Center for Mental Health in Anderson, Indiana and BehaviorCorp in Carmel, Indiana. The merger has created the capacity for us to provide a more extensive array of recovery services for behavioral health.

Both Centers, through the years, have remained accredited by the Joint Commission. This accreditation demonstrates organizational concern for the quality of services provided. Aspire Indiana is also currently accredited the Joint Commission.

The Center for Mental Health, Inc. (CMH) began as the Madison County Guidance Center 1968 as a private, not-for-profit behavioral health care organization and provided services to adults and children at multiple locations. CMH served individuals and their families in Central Indiana for over 40 years.

CMH has provided care through services such as the Addiction Program, Outpatient Treatment, the Community Support program for individuals with serious mental illness, Supported Employment, Homeless program, the Clozaril Clinic, HIV / AIDS Care, the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program, Foster Care program and the Social Enterprise programs.BehaviorCorp began as Tri-County Mental Health Center in the early 1970s in a small counseling office in Noblesville, Indiana, then changed its name to BehaviorCorp in the 1990's. BehaviorCorp served individuals and their families in Hamilton and Boone Counties, and Pike and Washington Townships in Marion County for over 30 years.

BehaviorCorp has provided care through services such as Deaf Services program, Adult services, Addictions program, Child and Adolescent services, Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program, HIV / AIDS program, Outpatient Treatment and Community Support Services.
